After unsuccessfully attempting to invoke arbitration under international business contracts, Menorah Insurance Company obtained an $812,907 default judgment in an Israeli court against INX Reinsurance Corporation and then sought to enforce the judgment in a Puerto Rican court. After waiting a year, and on the eve of having an exequatur judgment entered against it, INX removed the action to the U.S. District Court for Puerto Rico under the Convention...
