Petitioner Mary McGoldrick challenges the legality and enforceability of a contract obligating her to pay an "heir hunter" 50 percent of the value of property which she is entitled to inherit in exchange for assistance in recovering the property. The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of McGoldrick, holding that the contract is unconscionable and void, and dismissed Respondent Maynard Nelson's action seeking payment under it.
