OPINION

CORCORAN, Justice.

Defendants David Wayne Grannis and Daniel Ethan Webster were jointly tried in Pima County Superior Court. On May 28, 1992, the jury convicted them both of premeditated first degree murder, two counts of theft, and trafficking in stolen property. After holding an aggravation/mitigation hearing, the trial court sentenced Grannis and Webster to death. Their convictions and death sentences are automatically appealed to this court....
