The plaintiff/appellee, trustee for the bankruptcy estate of the law firm of Chris J. Roy, of Alexandria, Louisiana, filed a petition in the bankruptcy court seeking to establish that an alleged pledge by the law firm to the defendant/appellant, Cottonport Bank, was unperfected and unenforceable against the bankruptcy estate.
