BRYNER, Chief Judge.

Timothy D. Mack pled no contest to attempted sexual abuse of a minor in the third degree, in violation of AS 11.41.438(a)(1) and 11.31.100(a). The offense is a class A misdemeanor. At his sentencing hearing, Mack requested the court to suspend the imposition of his sentence. District Court Judge Peter J. Ashman denied the request, concluding that a suspended imposition of sentence...
