ROBERT E. JONES, District Judge:

On November 22, 1993, defendant Patrick Shorb was convicted of conspiracy to manufacture and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846, and money laundering, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1956(a)(1)(B)(i). He was sentenced to a 70-month term of imprisonment. The conviction is on appeal to the Ninth Circuit. Defendant requests that he be released pending...
