This is an appeal from the Erie County Court of Common Pleas. Michael Wasserman, age three, was the victim of child abuse. His mother was Peggy Wasserman, and the suspected abuser was Craig Popke, her live-in companion. The child's paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother reported the matter to Erie County Department of Human Services on August 23, 1989, and a hospital examination found extensive bruising...
