Defendant John Allen Smith (Smith) was convicted, pursuant to a jury verdict, of eight counts of incest involving his oldest daughter (the adult-victim) and two counts of sexual assault with a minor under fourteen years of age and one count of child abuse and neglect with substantial mental injury.
