Jose Lopez and Elizabeth Romero were charged by bill of information with simple burglary in violation of La.R.S. 14:62. A six-person jury found the defendants guilty of unauthorized entry of a place of business, in violation of La.R.S. 14:62.4. Unauthorized entry of a place of business is a responsive verdict to simple burglary. La.Code Crim.P. art. 814(44).
