OPINION

WALKER, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a conviction for the felony offense of Murder. Following its verdict of "guilty," the jury assessed appellant's punishment at ninety-nine (99) years' confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
