After over twenty-four years of marriage, Iris and Robert Terry were granted a decree of dissolution. Although the couple resided together during the marriage, the trial court found that they led separate existences for most of those years. Accordingly, the court treated the marriage as short-term and limited Iris' award of maintenance to one year.
