William R. Levinson was discharged by his client in a contingent fee case that ultimately ended with a substantial settlement for the client. Levinson asserted an attorney's lien as to this settlement. The issue of the lien and the amount to be awarded Levinson for his efforts was tried in a summary proceeding on affidavits.
