After a jury trial, defendant, Tony Smith, was convicted of one count of armed robbery (720 ILCS 5/18-2(a) (West 1992)), two counts of aggravated battery (720 ILCS 5/12-4(B)(1) (West 1992)), and three counts of home invasion (720 ILCS 5/12-11(a)(1) (West 1992)).
