RODRIGUEZ, Justice.

In October 1993, appellant pled nolo contendere to the misdemeanor offense of assault. He was fined $200 and sentenced to one year in jail, which was probated. In January 1994, the State filed a motion to revoke probation. At the revocation hearing, appellant pled "true" to the allegations, and the trial court revoked probation and sentenced appellant to one year in jail.
