In this appeal of his first degree murder conviction, James Eric Mansfield complains that the trial court did not permit him to present evidence that he was not the only person with a motive to kill the victim. He also complains that the court erroneously denied his Rule 29.15 motion for postconviction relief because he demonstrated that his trial counsel had a conflict of interest and was ineffective.
