From a judgment finding appellee Paul Whittington was wrongfully discharged and awarding $124,991 in actual damages, $100,000 in exemplary damages, and prejudgment interest of $67,158.29, appellant Gifford Hill American (GHA) brings this appeal. Appellee's theory of recovery was that his firing was at least partially based on his efforts to recover workers' compensation, an action which, under statute, an employer may not consider when firing an employee...
