Respondent determined a $172,888 deficiency in petitioner's Federal income tax for the taxable year ending August 31, 1988 (fiscal year 1988).

Following concessions, the issue for decision is whether petitioner may deduct as reasonable compensation amounts it paid to Vernon and Reda Beard and their adult children (as directors of petitioner)...
