SULLIVAN, Justice, for the Court:

On March 11, 1992, Tracy D. Hiter was indicted for the murder of her husband Richard "Bubba" Hiter. Trial convened on April 8, 1992, in the Bolivar County Circuit Court, and the jury subsequently returned a verdict of guilty as charged. She was sentenced to a term of life imprisonment in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
