Following a bench trial defendant, Juan Solis, was convicted of reckless homicide (720 ILCS 5/9-3(a) (West 1992)) and driving under the influence of alcohol (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(2) (West 1992)). Defendant was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
