The appellant, Eric Miller, filed separate habeas corpus petitions in Henry and Barbour Counties. Both petitions were denied and the appellant challenges both denials. The issue raised on appeal is whether the Circuit Court of Barbour County, rather than Henry County, had jurisdiction to hear and to rule on the appellant's petition for a writ of habeas corpus.
