Defendant, Clarence Williams, was charged by bill of information on August 15, 1984, with armed robbery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:64. He was arraigned August 27, 1984, and pled not guilty. On January 17, 1985, a twelve-member jury found him guilty as charged. On January 31, 1985, he was sentenced to sixty years at hard labor as a third offender under La.R.S. 15:529.1.
