Petitioner was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to a term of thirty years to life imprisonment. He appeals from the superior court's denial of his petition for post-conviction relief, in which he argued that he was denied his due process right to an impartial tribunal because former Associate Justice William Hill manipulated his case on the basis of the justice's friendship with former Assistant Judge Jane Wheel.
