Royal Bank of Canada ("Royal Bank") appeals from an order of the district court finding it in civil contempt for violating an attachment order and assessing damages of $1.63 million plus attorney's fees and costs. The district court found that Royal Bank had assisted in frustrating the application of an attachment order to assets that Royal Bank claimed for its own.
