This case was originally filed in the Circuit Court for Kent County, Michigan. In his original complaint, plaintiff, Neal T. Faasen, alleged that on November 4, 1991, his home located at 836 Broadway, N.W., Grand Rapids, Michigan, burned to the ground and was a total loss.
