This is an interlocutory appeal pursuant to C.A.R. 4.1. The People challenge a trial court order suppressing cocaine obtained during a search of defendant Barney Savedra's truck. The search took place shortly after Savedra had been arrested. The trial court determined that the passenger compartment of the truck was not within Savedra's immediate control at the time of the arrest, and therefore, suppressed the cocaine...
