The critical issue in this case is whether Harriet Bros. Limited Partnership (Harriet Bros.), the seller of ranch properties at auction, advertised and conducted an auction with reserves or without reserves. The published auction rules stated that, in first considering bids upon eleven parcels, a minimum bid was required as to each parcel of land.
