Michael D. Barks sued Cosgriff Company (Cosgriff) for wrongful termination. Cosgriff filed a counterclaim for breach of contract. Prior to trial, the Douglas County District Court sustained Barks' demurrer to Cosgriff's counterclaim. A jury rendered a verdict in Barks' favor on the wrongful termination claim.
