LIVINGSTON, Justice.

A jury found Samuel Wayne Chambers ("appellant") guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assessed punishment of twenty years' imprisonment. In his sole point of error, appellant argues the trial court erred by refusing to admit into evidence a statement made by appellant to Officer Eddie Dale Neel of the Fort Worth Police Department.
