Appellant was charged with Murder and Assisting a Criminal. Ind.Code Ann. § 35-42-1-1 (West Supp.1992); Ind.Code Ann. § 35-44-3-2 (West 1986). A jury acquitted him of the murder charge, but found him guilty of Assisting a Criminal, a Class C felony, and sentenced him to seven years.
