Defendant, Lynn Paul Galliano, was charged by grand jury indictment with aggravated rape, a violation of La.R.S. 14:42. Defendant pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty as charged. The trial court sentenced defendant to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. He appealed, urging six formally assigned errors.
