We granted David Shedlock's petition for writ of certiorari to challenge his punishment for contempt of a protective order issued in connection with his conviction for criminal trespass. Shedlock claims that (1) the court was without jurisdiction to enforce the protective order while he appealed the underlying conviction, (2) the record is insufficient to support a finding of contempt, and (3) the sentence imposed amounts to cruel and unusual punishment...
