Appellant Jose Gutierrez was convicted by a jury of one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine (21 U.S.C. §§ 846, 841(b)(1)(A)) and one count of money laundering (18 U.S.C. § 1956(a)(1)). He was one of eleven individuals named in a second superseding indictment. Appellant and a co-defendant, Laina Young, were the only two defendants to proceed to trial...
