This appeal relates to the state's charge that defendant, Sixto Esteban Lanz-Terry, shot a gun at Lazaro Borrero and wrongfully took from Borrero's companion, Dianna Rodriguez, the keys to Borrero's car. No one was injured during the shooting incident, which occurred on May 13, 1993, outside of an apartment building located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
