On August 26, 1987, J.C. Cannon was admitted to North Mississippi Medical Center by Dr. John W. Cox for further evaluation of chronic renal failure. Cannon had a history of "insulin dependent diabetes mellitus" of over thirty (30) years duration. Following a surgical procedure for insertion of an AV Fistula and a catheter for kidney dialysis purposes, Cannon became disoriented and comatose. On September 3, 1987, Cannon died of "cerebral...
