The Plaintiffs brought this diversity action against Thomas William Brien ("Brien"), as a designated representative of Underwriters at Lloyd's London ("Lloyd's"), for the intentional infliction of emotional distress.1 The Plaintiffs claim that Lloyd's should be held liable for the conduct of several guards, hired to surveil the Plaintiffs' property, who allegedly shot the Plaintiffs' pet dog.
