After a trial by jury, the defendant, Samuel A. Jackson, Jr., was convicted of armed robbery, armed assault in a dwelling house with intent to commit a felony, and assault and battery. The defendant appeals. We granted the defendant's application for direct appellate review. For the reasons stated in this opinion, we affirm the convictions.
