Appellant Charles Shark was charged and convicted by a jury of drug distribution and conspiracy charges in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841, 846 (1988 & Supp. V 1993), as well as criminal forfeiture under 21 U.S.C. § 853(a)(1) (1988), and was sentenced to 360 months for each drug offense. He appeals his convictions on the ground that his counsel did not provide him with effective assistance, depriving him of his rights under the Sixth Amendment...
