Hoffman, M.D. (Dr. Hoffman) properly supported a motion for summary judgment in a case premised upon injury attributable to the lack of informed consent on the part of Betty M. Peulen Havens (Havens). Havens contends she met her burden in opposition to the motion for summary judgment by relying upon the doctrine of res ipsa loquitur.
