Defendant sued three parties for injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident. All claims were settled prior to trial. Defendant then filed a K.S.A. 1993 Supp. 60-2006 motion to recover attorney fees. The district court denied defendant's motion because his total claim against all parties exceeded the statutory maximum of $7,500. The Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court.
