Plaintiffs B.F. Kelley (individually and as a trustee under a testamentary trust) and Mildred L. Kelley (collectively the Kelleys) brought suit pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA), 9 U.S.C. §§ 1-15, to confirm an arbitration decision awarding the Kelleys monetary damages against William B. Michaels. The district court confirmed the arbitration award and exercised supplemental jurisdiction over the Kelleys' state claim seeking...
