This is an appeal by the State from the dismissal of the charge of impairing a security interest in violation of K.S.A. 1994 Supp. 21-3734. The trial court dismissed for lack of venue based upon its conclusion that Bourbon County, Kansas, was not the "county where the crime was committed" under K.S.A. 22-2602 because the collateral subject to the security interest had been disposed of in the state of Missouri...
