Plaintiff Karl W. Green brought this action against defendant, The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Co. (the Railroad), under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA), 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60. Plaintiff alleged that because of the Railroad's negligence, he suffered a permanently disabling injury.
