This case involves the partitioning of community property. The trial court determined that community funds were used to improve the separate immovable property of Everett John Hebert (Everett) and that his wife, Mary Adelle Vidrine Hebert (Mary), was entitled to reimbursement for one-half the value of improvements made to that separate property. The trial court further ruled that a whole life insurance policy owned by Everett on the life of his mother...
