The State seeks further review of a court of appeals' ruling that David W. Irving received ineffective assistance of counsel which resulted in his entrance of a plea of guilty to two criminal charges. The district court held that Irving's court-appointed counsel rendered him ineffective assistance in failing to investigate the admissibility of his confession and inculpatory evidence.
