Appellant, Jose Luis Salazar, was charged by information with the misdemeanor offense of possession of marijuana in a usable quantity of under two ounces. After the trial court denied his motion to suppress, appellant pled no contest to the offense and the trial court assessed punishment at 140-days confinement in the Harris County Jail in accordance with a plea agreement.
