This is a suit for damages instituted by a mother, individually and on behalf of her minor son, following a one-vehicle accident in which the child sustained personal injuries. After the jury returned its verdict, the trial judge granted judgment notwithstanding the verdict in favor of the plaintiff. He reassessed liability and increased the amount awarded to the plaintiff.
