This appeal arises from a 1991 lawsuit filed by Inter-American Insurance Company (Inter-American) to foreclose a mortgage it held on property owned by a land trust with LaSalle National Bank as trustee (LaSalle Trust). Jackson/Green Limited Partnership (Jackson/Green) held the beneficial interest in the LaSalle Trust. Ken-Lee Hardware Company (Ken-Lee) countersued to foreclose a mechanic's lien that it recorded against...
