Appellant Steiner Corporation and other plaintiffs, who are not parties to this appeal, sued Appellees Johnson & Higgins of California and two of its employees, Donald F. Reeves and Roy J. Bertoldo (collectively "J & H"), for professional malpractice and breach of contract, both of which implicated ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. The crux of Appellant's complaint was that J & H breached its actuarial duties by not properly advising...
