BACKGROUND

The defendants are charged in a thirteen count Indictment. Count One charges each defendant with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than one kilogram of heroin, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846, and specifies seven overt acts committed in furtherance of the charged conspiracy.
