Appellant, Cornelius Nelson, was convicted following a jury trial of one count of carnal knowledge of a child under sixteen years of age in violation of D.C.Code § 22-2801 (1989), and one count of taking indecent liberties with a minor child in violation of D.C.Code § 22-3502(a) (1989).
